Exhibit description

Laboratory work requires the use of burners with specific parameters; therefore, this relatively simple design has undergone many modifications.

This type of burner is named after its inventor – a Romanian chemist Nicolae Teclu – who invented the device in 1892. In his design, he increased the flame’s temperature by changing the way in which air is supplied to the burner.
