The history of gasworks in the Polish lands is a story about the economic development of a nation and the striving for the modernity of Polish homes. These former coal-fired gas plants were faced with a variety of problems and challenges – from overcoming consumer reservations, having to compete with other energy providers to wartime destruction. Even though nowadays we use natural gas, the former gas plant buildings continue to find new applications. They house unique loft apartments, restaurants, planetariums or even wineries. The Virtual Gas Museum is proud to present its third podcast – “The history of gasworks in the Polish lands and their new life”.
