This arrangement drawing shows the anatomy of the heart of the Gasworks in Głubczyce – its furnace.
The illustrated retort furnace has seven different levels. The accuracy of the drawing allows us to see all the individual elements of the furnace responsible for gas production. The retort was able to take as much as 200 kg of coal which transformed into 60 m³ of gas.
