This plan shows how energy was supplied to the heart of the gasworks.
These tall chamber furnaces were incredibly efficient and needed enormous quantities of coal. The furnaces were loaded using carts which are visible in the drawing. Such installations were built in the large gasworks, such as the municipal gasworks in Tarnogaj.
