Exhibit description

This drawing shows a detailed design of a crucial, yet at the same time, straightforward and ingenious device used in the gasworks.

One of the biggest challenges of the process of generating gas from coal is the removal of dangerous pollutants – ammonia water and tar. The cross-section shows how this process was performed by a tubular cooler. Water flowed through the tubes, while gas flowed in the opposite direction and in this way “shed” its pollutants.
