This layout drawing contains a mysterious structure, which has not been forgotten despite having been knocked down.
Gasworks – once vital to the functioning of any city – have long been replaced by natural gas distribution networks. This was also the case with the gasworks in Opole. Its premises currently house the Gas Supply Facility, while the gas production installation has been dismantled. However, its spirit lives on – some of the gasworks’ old features are still hidden underground. Every investor who wants to build something in this area is forced to take them into account. The only information about their location can be found in these old site plans.
